CarAndDriverManila Business Traveler Guide
According to the TomTom Traffic Index, traffic in Manila is among the worst in the world. You would rather not be late for your business meeting, and it is critical to plan a generous time buffer between meetings.
For several meetings in Manila, reserve one vehicle and driver for the complete itinerary, group appointments by district, and allow generous traffic buffers. Makati, BGC, Ortigas, and NAIA can look close on a map, but travel times change sharply by hour, weather, accidents, and security procedures.

Planning multiple meetings in one day
- Please send the complete itinerary instead of booking each transfer separately.
- Group meetings in the same district whenever possible.
- Identify appointments with fixed check-in times, visitor registration, or security screening. Some technoparks require preregistration of visitors/vehicles.
- Provide the driver the building entrance, contact person, and mobile number.
- Keep one coordination contact available for live itinerary changes.
Makati, BGC, Ortigas, and airport scheduling
| Movement | Suggested planning buffer | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Within Makati CBD | 30–45 minutes between buildings | Short distances can still involve one-way streets, loading zones, and lobby check-in. |
| Makati ↔ BGC | 45–75 minutes | Bridge approaches and peak-hour traffic can change quickly. |
| BGC ↔ Ortigas | 60–90 minutes | EDSA/C5 congestion and building access can add delay. |
| Makati ↔ Ortigas | 60–90 minutes | Allow more time during morning and evening peaks. |
| Business district ↔ Laguna/Cavite Technoparks | 90 minutes |
Allow more time during morning and evening peaks. |
These are conservative planning ranges, not guaranteed travel times. For a critical appointment, please allow extra time and arrive early. You can always wait in our air-conditioned car.
Waiting time and itinerary changes
A dedicated driver stays focused on your itinerary between meetings. If a meeting finishes early or runs late, contact the driver before leaving the building so the vehicle can move to the correct pickup point. Security/loading restrictions usually prevent the driver from waiting directly outside every entrance.
Small same-area changes will be accommodated. Adding a distant stop or changing the final destination may affect the quotation and driver schedule. Please confirm any major changes with our coordinator before proceeding.
Recommended timing buffers
| Situation | Add at least |
|---|---|
| Building security or visitor registration | 15–30 minutes |
| Heavy rain | 30–60 minutes |
| Friday afternoon or payday traffic | 30–60 minutes |
| Major conference, concert, or sporting event | 45–90 minutes |
| Airport departure after the final meeting | One additional contingency hour where possible |
Information to send before the service
- Main contact name and mobile number with WhatsApp or Viber
- Hotel, office, or airport pickup point
- Every meeting address
- Appointment start and expected finish times
- Passenger, luggage, samples, or equipment count
- Flight number and terminal for airport movements
- Any confidentiality, accessibility, or vehicle requirements
Example business-day structure
| Time | Plan |
|---|---|
| 07:30 | Hotel pickup in Makati |
| 08:00 | First meeting in Makati, with registration buffer |
| 10:30 | Depart for BGC |
| 11:30 | BGC meeting and lunch |
| 14:30 | Depart for Ortigas |
| 16:00 | Final meeting |
| 17:30 | Hotel return or airport transfer with a separate flight buffer |
Why use one vehicle and driver?
One team manages the route, waiting time, and changes from the first pickup to the final drop-off. You avoid explaining the itinerary to several drivers, moving business materials between vehicles, and searching for a new ride after every meeting.
